This past semester we also had to collaborate to make a stop-motion animation. Ours turned out to be some sort of abstract surrealist music video to accompany a song that one of our groupmates composed in Garage Band over the summer. We divided the 4-minute video into five segments, one for each member of the group, and sort of let our individual creative juices flow without worrying how each part would fit into the larger whole. After each piece was complete, we combined them in iMovie and invented transitions between the scenes. Each frame of the animation is a photo taken with an ordinary digital camera. We added the music at the last minute, and it fit the video surprisingly well. Watch it below (and keep an eye out for those sketchy Waldo characters!):
