Big news! Safer in the Dark is going back to its roots as a consumer digest blog focused on music, film, etc. This means all of my artwork is moving to a new space that can better display it in all of its glory: scrambledgreggs.com.
The site was built using Django and Tastypie on the back-end API, Backbone.js, Require.js, Underscore.js, and LessCSS on the front-end, and Heroku and AWS S3 for free.99 web hosting. I’ll be posting all my new work there as it is completed, so check back frequently for updates!

Recently I went through all of the photos I’ve taken this summer, picked out a few of my favorites, and touched them up in Photoshop for practice/the hell of it. The first twelve of these images are the results of that, while the last four are some interesting combinations/overlay experiments that I think turned out nicely:

Last summer I spent five weeks backpacking around various cities in Europe, circling from Paris to Berlin to Budapest to Venice to Bern and then finally to London, with many stops in between. Because I was traveling alone and had a lot of time to take photos, I ended up filling up my digital camera many times over. These ten shots are my favorites of the ones I took there, and are a good representation of what I saw on my trip.
